For the florals at this simple and elegant wedding at Gladstone’s Malibu, our grooms Cory & Doug imagined an intimate, celebratory setting that allowed the natural beauty of the location to shine through — and we were thrilled to help bring their vision to life.
To that end, the Smith & Lily team designed a minimal floral arch, teeming with abundant greenery and accented with seasonal white blooms, to define the ceremony space on the sand for their vows.
This neutral, white, and green theme carried through the entire design concept — from the simple boutonnieres and corsages worn by the wedding party, to the reception space decor in the private room in the restaurant.
We leaned on crisp white calla lilies, roses, and ranunculus, which each added beautiful texture and visual interest without cluttering the color scheme. Clear glass vases housed all the table arrangements, which reflected the natural light beautifully, and allowed the upright, green stems of the florals to be as much a part of the design as the blooms above.
